June 2024 Spring Recitals “Sweet 16!”
Our June 2024 recitals will be held on June 9th and 14th at Littleton High School! We are so excited to celebrate our Sweet 16th season recital with everyone! As usual, we will have 2 recitals split by age group. Our first show on Sunday, June 9th will be at 11am and will include: All Tots, All Preschool, All Combo, All Kinder, Mini Team, some DD extra pieces (no solos). Our second show will be on Friday, June 14th at 4:30pm and will include: All Levels 1, 2, 3, 4, Teen, Advanced, and Adults. We will have Dress Rehearsals on Tuesday, June 4th (4-9pm), Wednesday, June 5th (4-9pm), Thursday, June 6th (4-9pm), Sunday, June 9th (2-9pm after recital) Tuesday, June 11th (4-9pm) and Thursday June 13th (4-9pm). Each class will only be required to be there for a 15 min time slot on stage per class NOT all week/end. These times will get scheduled as we get closer to June.
This is the first time we have our recitals on different weekends and that is to accommodate 6 different high school graduations between our many seniors this year. This also allows for each show to be shorter in length and more accommodating for our younger dancers and families. This also accounts for the least amount of families having to go to both shows. Families that DO have to attend both shows will receive a special discount. Please let me know if you have any questions!
Costumes
Costumes have been charged and ordered! Please make sure your account is up to date since we are still missing some costume payments! Your dancer will not receive his/her costume until your account has been paid up to date! Costumes will arrive anywhere between now and a week before the show! Some costume companies take longer than others and some things just have a later ship date, and some things are in stock now! If you receive your dancers’ costumes early, please make sure to try them on right away and hang them in a safe place! As soon as we receive a full class of costumes, the teacher will hand them out!
Daddy/Daughter Dance Class
We already have over 15 couples registered for EACH show! Sign up now online if you haven’t yet!
Dancers, grab your dads or father figures and dance with them on stage at SDA’s June recital! “Couples” will learn a fun, simple dance to perform at the spring recital. All ages are welcome to attend!
COST: $55 per “couple” and $25 for an additional daughter. This cost includes a recital T-shirt for each dancer!
CLASS DATES: Fridays May 10th, May 17th, & May 24th from 4-5pm (Show #2 (6/14) participants) and 5-6pm (Show #1 (6/9) participants) *Times could vary depending on amount of participants per show. *If your child has a dance class during that hour you can still participate please let me know if this is the case!
RECITAL: Dress Rehearsal: TBD Recital: June 9th and 14th (you only attend the recital your dancer is in)

Summer 2024

This summer, SDA is offering our regular 6 week session classes for ages 2-adult from July 8th-August 16th. Some of the classes offered this summer will be Acro Intensives, Technique/Conditioning intensives, Ballet Intensives, Tap Intensives, Hip Hop, Jazz/Lyrical, Adult Classes, Kinder Classes, Preschool, Tots, and much more!
We will be offering our Dance Camps for all ages (posted on our website!):
Dance Intensive 1 (ages 5-8 and Mini/Petite) August 12th– August 16th 10am-1pm
Dance Intensive 2 (ages 8-12 and Juniors) July 29th– August 2nd 10am-3pm
Dance Intensive 3/4 (ages 12-18 and Teen/Elite) July 29th– August 2nd 10am-3pm
BROADWAY BOUND DANCE CAMP (ages 8-18) August 5th– 9th 10am-3pm
Disney Princess Adventure Camp (ages 3-6) July 22nd – July 26th 10am-1pm
The Eras Camp (SDA’s version) (ages 7-16) July 8th – July 12th 10am-3pm
Also look out for one-day workshops and intensives throughout the summer for those with busy schedules that cannot make summertime commitments! Private Lessons are also offered by request. Ask Miss Becky for details!
Auditions for NEW Diamond Dancers!!!
SDA’s popular competitive performance team is looking for new members to fill our teams! We will be announcing our audition dates soon by email and on our social media! Our Mini Team is our newest team this season and is for dancers ages 4-6 years old. If you have a dancer this age please email me to let me know you are interested in hearing about our competition team! Teachers will also be sending me suggestions of dancers this age that show potential to be on team and you will receive an invitation to audition! The rest of our current teams will have a few spots each and we will fill those by audition only. We have teams for dancers ages 4-18! Miss Richelle and I will send a studio wide email once we have all of the details solidified for those audition dates. Please email Miss Becky if you and your dancer/s are interested in joining one of our teams! We would like to schedule a Parent Information Meeting following auditions to answer any questions, discuss team details and expectations, and the upcoming season’s calendar. Please contact Miss Becky for any questions and details!
Looking Ahead to Season 17!
SDA will be working on the Fall 2024-25 schedule over this month and it will be open for registration by May 1st. Please be on the lookout for our schedule announcement!! We have been hiring new teachers and have plans for more levels for our most popular styles/age groups!

Spotlight On:
Elena Rodriguez Age 9
This is Elena’s 4th year at SDA and we absolutely love having her in class! Elena is always so happy in class and respectful and kind! Elena takes Broadway Pop and Ballet 2 with Miss Richelle and Lyrical 2 with Miss Becky. She is always prepared for class and has grown in her technique so much! She is always excited and ready to learn new leaps and turns and has a great memory for choreography! We know Elena will continue to grow and learn and we cannot wait to see her future with SDA!
