Miss Sarah

Miss Sarah began dancing at the age of three in Billerica, MA at Debbie Strang Dance Center and very quickly fell in love with everything about dance. She trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, musical theater and hip hop, and jumped at the opportunity of joining her studio’s award winning competition team. In the summer of 2009, Sarah decided to further her dance career at Spotlight Dance Academy and be an inaugural member of the Diamond Dancers. Throughout her high school years at SDA, Sarah took every class she could, loved competing, and assisted and taught up until graduating.

Sarah has had the opportunity to compete in multiple national competitions across MA, NH and RI. She has also had the privilege to perform in Disney World, upon a Royal Caribbean cruise ship, in Nassau, Bahamas, at the Boston Celtics, as well as other local venues as a member of the Diamond Dancers.

In 2013, Sarah went to UMass Amherst to pursue her Industrial Engineering degree. At UMass Amherst, Sarah joined the UMass Dance Club to continue her dancing and pass on her love of dance to fellow students. Sarah taught many classes, choreographed for her team every semester, and eventually became President of Dance Club her junior year. Sarah graduated in 2017 and began working as a Quality Engineer at Cynosure here in Westford, MA, as well as coming home to teach again at SDA.

As a teacher, Sarah hopes to pass on her love for dance and the dance community to her students and help them find their passion! Hard work, dedication, and a love for what you’re doing can go a long way, and Sarah hopes to show her young dancers just that!
