SDA’s 2026 Spring Recital: “”

Spotlight Dance Academy’s 18th annual spring recital(s), “” will be June 12th and 14th at Littleton High School. Dress rehearsals will be scheduled June 7, 8, 9, and 11th. Each class will only attend one dress rehearsal time slot! This year, we will have 3 recitals to make sure everyone can get tickets and to shorten our shows a bit. Our first show will be on Friday, June 12th at 5pm. Our second show will be Sunday, June 14th at 11am and our third show will be Sunday, June 14th at 3:30pm.

FRIDAY, JUNE 12th 5:00pm

  • Tickets to our recitals go on sale Friday, April 18th at 11am and 3:30pm!
  • Tickets are $28 each. Anyone that needs a seat needs a ticket! Tickets for the June 8th 11am recital will go on sale at 11am. Tickets for the June 8th 3:30pm recital will go on sale at 3:30pm.
  • *Please note that the site will require a “password” until the on sale time. There is no password needed to buy tickets, that will go away once the sale starts!

Of course, feel free to call me if there is anything I can do! The website WILL be busy at the beginning of sales so be prepared to have back up seating options if you cannot get the ones you want. Most of the parents will be buying tickets right at the start time on that first day!

VIP Dance (Formerly Daddy/Daughter)

  • Dancers, grab your dads, brothers, uncles, moms or any other important adult in your life and dance with them on stage at SDA’s June recital! “Couples” will learn a fun, simple dance to perform at the spring recital. All ages are welcome to attend!

    COST: $65 per “couple” and $30 for an additional dancer. This cost includes a recital T-shirt for each dancer!

    CLASS DATES: Fridays May 22nd, May 29th, & June 5th from 4-5pm (Show #1 and #3 (ages 7 and up) participants) and 5-6pm (Show #2 (ages 2-6) participants) *Times could vary depending on the amount of participants per show. 

    RECITAL: Dress Rehearsal: TBD   Recital: June 12th and June 14th (you only attend the recital your dancer is in) 

 **Sign Ups are available on our website right at the top of our 2025-2026 classes page (Listed as Littles for show #2 and ages 7+ for shows #1 and #3) **

Dress Rehearsals:

June 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th: Mandatory Dress rehearsal for ALL dancers
–at Littleton High School (directions listed below)
Arrival Times: **PLEASE ARRIVE 15 MIN BEFORE YOUR SCHEDULED TIME READY TO DANCE!** We will be starting on time and if you miss your class’ time on stage, your child will not be able to rehearse with their class!!! Please make sure the costume is on and your dancer is stretched. (For example: if your dancer is scheduled at 5pm, please come at 4:45 so they are ready to dance at 5!) We have had problems in the past with dancers showing up at their scheduled time and then we need to wait for them to get dressed before we begin. Please have your dancer come with hair and stage makeup on so they only need to change into their costume. Make sure hair pieces/accessories are pinned in so we can see if anything needs to be adjusted. Each dance will be blocked and then run, every class gets 15 min on stage. *Only 1 parent is allowed to attend the dress rehearsal for students under 12. This is a closed rehearsal for anyone who is not a student, teacher, chaperone, or the one parent for younger dancers, so please plan accordingly! Dance Pictures

This year, we will be using Farmhouse Photography (Kat Rokita) for our dance pictures. Kat will be offering photo sessions from 6-8pm on May 30th and from 4-7pm on June 10th at her studio located at 55 Middlesex Street Suite 229 in North Chelmsford. This is an optional event and time slots are offered as first come first serve! Kat will offer more times and dates if these fill up! Below is the info from Kat as well as the flier with package and pricing information:

Sitting Fee is $35 (and that $35 counts as credit toward your purchase of prints and/or digital images)

This year everyone will have their own private password gallery from which they will be able to purchase both printed portraits and digital files. You will see other dates available for booking – these are for other dance companies but if those dates work better for your dancers they are welcome to sneak in on those days as well.
