Class Descriptions

Tots in Tutus:

  • A combination class where dancers will be learning Creative Movement and Pre-Ballet!! This is a great introduction to dance for children 2-3 years old. This is not a parent-child class.
  • Ages 2-3 years old
  • *Must be 2 by September 1st

Preschool:

  • Preschool Class- Introduction to Dance. Participation and creativity are encouraged through novelty songs and dance. These classes combine the coordination and discipline with a fun preschool feel.
  • Tiny Dancers Preschool Ages: 3-4
  • *Must be 3 by September 1st 

Kinder Classes:

  • Kinder classes are designed for dancers ages 5-6 who want a more specific style training instead of combo classes. Kinder classes are structured to prepare dancers for the next level in their style.
  • Ages 5-6 years old
  • Kinder Acro: Ages 5-6
  • Kinder Tap/Jazz: Ages 5-6
  • Kinder Hip Hop: Ages 5-6
  • Kinder Combo: Ages 5-6
  • Kinder Ballet: Ages 5-6
  • Kinder Ballet-Mini: Ages 5-6 (by invitation only)

Ballet 1:

  • This class will focus on barre work and ballet technique, students will build a technical dance foundation for students new to ballet.
  • Ballet 1 Ages: 7-9

Ballet 2

  • This class focuses on the proper technique, placement, and style of classical ballet, going into great detail of the different style ballets.
  • Ballet 2 Ages: 10-12

Ballet 3

  • This class will build on the foundation of dance technique and flexibility for intermediate/advanced students. This class will work towards incorporating pointe work as well.
  • Ballet 3 Ages: 12-18

Ballet 4

  • This class will build on the foundation of dance technique and flexibility for advanced students. This class will work towards incorporating pointe work as well.

Tap 1:

  • This is an introduction to tap, focusing on the fundamental foot work and techniques of tap dancing and rhythm.
  • Tap 1 Ages: 7-9
  • *Ages listed as a guide, students will be placed by level first

Tap 2

  • This class is for dancers that are beginner/intermediate tap dancers. This class will focus on the basics and fundamentals of tap with basic footwork and progressions across the floor.
  • Tap 2 Ages: 10-12

Tap 3

  • This class is for teens that are intermediate tap dancers. This class will focus on the basics and fundamentals of tap with basic footwork and progressions across the floor.
  • Tap 3 Ages: 12-18

Tap 4:

  • Advanced tap goes deeper into the details of foot work and rhythm combinations along with still focusing on the technique behind the work.

Hip-Hop:

  • A fun street style dance that is fast moving and high energy.
  • Hip Hop 1:  Ages 7-9
  • Hip Hop 2: Ages 10-12
  • Hip Hop 3: Ages 12-18
  • Hip Hop 4: By Invitation Only

Jazz:

  • Explores all styles of jazz. Students will learn isolations, combinations, turns and leaps through the utilization of various styles of jazz such as Contemporary, Lyrical, Funk, and Broadway. Class consists of Stretch and Strengthening during warm up, as well as dance combinations and progressions.
  • Jazz 1: Ages 7-9
  • Jazz 2: Ages 10-12
  • Broadway Pop 1: Ages 7-9
  • Broadway Pop 2: Ages 10-12

Jazz/Lyrical:

  • Explores all styles of jazz and lyrical. Contemporary:

  • Contemporary explores unconventional and fluid movement with lyrical and jazz influences. Class consists of Stretch and Strengthening during warm up, as well as dance combinations, progressions across the floor, and improvisation.

Acro:

  • Acro classes are structured to develop the coordination, strength, and flexibility needed to learn the basics of tumbling. Students will be taught to correctly perform basic tumbling skills such as forward and backward rolls, headstands, handstands, bridges and cartwheels/round-offs. Additional skills include but are not limited to walkovers, limbers, aerials, back hand springs, and other tumbling tricks. Acro-dance is combining the tumbling skills along with technical dance moves and performing them in a choreographed routine.

Technique:

  • Flexibility and strength classes are designed to enhance muscular strength and endurance, speed and agility, and improve flexibility safely with correctly technique. This class is designed to improve balance, flexibility, and core strength, as well as practice body awareness and mindfulness. The class incorporates traditional dance exercises, gymnastics conditioning, and even pilates and yoga elements. Students will work combine floorwork, barre work and progressions across the floor to achieve greater strength and flexibility with every class.

  • *The above are dance team classes, request to join must be submitted to Director

Ballroom:

  • Partners are not needed! Students will learn basic ballroom and Latin technique, advanced students and adults are encouraged to wear heels.
  • Ballroom: Ages 12-18
  • Adult: Ages 18+ (monthly classes, check social medias for dates)

Adult Classes:

  • Combo– A combination class for advanced adults consisting of various jazz styles, lyrical, and hip hop.
  • Tap– Learn basic tap skills, musicality, and rhythm in this fun class. 
  • Ages 18+
