FEBRUARY 2026 NEWS
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!
Below are important SDA updates for the month of February:
June Recital Costumes
Recital costume prices will be sent by the end of this month and will be posted to your account March 4th. Costume payments will be charged on March 16th. Costumes need to be ordered ASAP to ensure we get them in time for the show!
June Recital
SDA’s June Recitals will be June 12th and 14th at Littleton High School. Dress rehearsals will be scheduled June 7, 8, 9, and 11th. Each class will only attend one dress rehearsal time slot! We are so excited to celebrate the end of our 18th season with everyone! This year, we will have 3 recitals to make sure everyone can get tickets and to shorten our shows a bit. Our first show will be on Friday, June 12th at 5pm. Our second show will be Sunday, June 14th at 11am and our third show will be Sunday, June 14th at 3:30pm. We are currently working on the best way to split the shows to make the most sense for the dancers and families. Some families will have siblings in more than one show, but we are doing our best to have that affect the least families possible! We will have more specific info soon so you can plan!
Teachers are beginning recital dances this month, and we are ordering costumes soon so please let us know before March 1st BY EMAIL if you will not be participating in this event! All classes except technique/conditioning/leaps and turns classes will be included in this recital! Please let me know if you have any questions!

February 2026 Dancer of the Month: Whitney Pendal Age 8
This is Whitney’s 5th year at SDA, starting in Miss Courtney’s preschool class when her family first moved here! Since then, Whitney has taken many more classes and joined the Diamond Dancers’ first Mini Team! She is now on the Petite Team and takes almost every class available in her level! Whitney also has a trio and a small group that she will be competing in a few short weeks! Whitney is such a joy to have in class and loves her classmates and teachers. She works hard and is always striving to reach that next level or achieve a new skill. Whitney has shown great determination and bravery coming back to acro class after an injury and barely skipped a beat! We love her work ethic and cannot wait to see her continue to grow and shine this season!

Snow Days
In the case of inclement weather, please check our website www.sdawestford.com , our facebook page, or our instagram for announcements. Emails will be sent out to the classes scheduled that day if we are cancelling class. SDA follows weather advisories and considers when Westford schools are cancelled.
Keep our studio clean!
During these wet and salty winter days, please remind your dancers to remove street shoes in the breakroom! So much salt and dirt has been tracked into the studios and we would love to keep the hallways clean for the dancers moving between classes in socks and bare feet. If parents or siblings will be keeping their shoes on, we would love to have you remain in the lobby to try to help this situation!
Also, please do not let young children that are waiting in the lobby to play with the k-cups, creamers, plastic cups, coffee cups and other supplies that are located in the kitchen cabinets and coffee bar. These items are expensive and being wasted and trashed daily. I would love to keep offering coffee and beverages etc to those waiting in our lobby!
As always, if you have any questions, please email me at Becky@sdawestford.com Thank you!!!
