Miss Becky

Becky began dancing as a child in Westford, and quickly found it to be her passion. She studied and performed many different styles of dance. As a teenager, she became an assistant teacher and shortly after, an instructor at Westford Dance Academy and at The Dancing Center Unlimited. At age 16, she helped start up the first ever Chelmsford High School Dance Team. Her senior year of high school she Co-directed the Team and put together the year-end recital. During her years in Chelmsford, Becky participated in many volunteer and community service programs as a dance teacher. In 2003, she went on to major in Business at Fitchburg State College in hopes to someday run a studio. She joined the FSC Dance Club and became a Hip-Hop teacher while also taking many advanced classes in various styles. Her senior year she was the Vice President to the club of over 200 students and 15 teachers, and was also voted Teacher of the Year. Becky graduated from FSC in 2007 and shortly after became the Dance Director at New England Sports Academy in Westwood, MA while also teaching dance classes in Fitchburg, MA. In 2008, Becky was able to accomplish her dream and open Spotlight Dance Academy at age 23. Starting with just 25 students that first year, the studio has now grown to over 100 students as SDA enters into it’s 5th season!
