Spring Recital
SDA’s 18th annual spring recital is getting close! The recitals, “Dance the Magic” will be on Friday, June 12th at 5pm (Rec show), Sunday, June 14th at 11am (younger show) and 3:30pm (team show) at Littleton High School in Littleton, MA. Students in the Sunday 11am show will need to arrive 30 min before performance time. Students in the two older shows will need to arrive 30 min-1 hour before performance time. Dress rehearsals will take place Sunday, June 7th, Monday, June 8th, Tuesday, June 9th, and Thursday, June 11th. All dress rehearsals will also be at LHS. Dress rehearsal times for each class vary, please see the dress rehearsal schedule that was emailed last month. Students will need to arrive in full hair and makeup, and ready to dance. More detailed info and costume/hair/makeup directions will be emailed out this month. Recital notices are also all available on the SDA website sdawestford.com under “June Recital” tab.
**Recital tickets went on sale last month and will be on sale online until June 1st. Tickets are $30.00 each. If you plan to have your child/ren in a seat they will need a ticket! Dancers do not need tickets, but if you want them to join you in the audience after, they will need to be on a lap! Tickets will NOT be sold at the studio but any remaining tickets will be sold at the door at LHS before the show. Recital Flowers, Tshirts, and DVDs/Downloads
We will be selling flowers through Floracause again and they would love it if you ordered ahead if you plan to get flowers for your dancer/s! Here is the link to choose your flowers: www.floracause.com/spotlightwestford

CLASS DATES: Fridays May 22nd, May 29th, & June 5th from 4-5pm (Show #1 and #3 (ages 7 and up) participants) and 5-6pm (Show #2 (ages 2-6) participants)
RECITAL: Dress Rehearsals: Sunday June 7th 11-11:30am for 6/14 11am show, Monday, June 8th 6:15-6:45pm for 6/14 3:30pm Team show, Tuesday, June 9th 6:15-6:45pm for 6/12 Rec Show. Recital: June 12th and June 14th (you only attend the recital your dancer is in)

Summer 2026
SUMMER REGISTRATION IS OPEN! *Sign up now to lock in current prices by June 1st (after this price goes up)
This summer SDA is offering our regular 6 week session classes for ages 18 months-adult from July 6th-August 14th. Some of the classes offered this summer will be Acro Intensives, Technique/Conditioning intensives, Ballet Intensives, Tap Intensives, Hip Hop, Jazz/Lyrical/Contemporary, Adult Classes, Kinder Classes, Preschool, Tots, *NEW* Grown up and Me and much more!
We are also offering Dance Workshop Weeks for all ages (posted on our website!):
Elevate Intensive 1 (ages 4-6 and Prep/Mini) July 27th – 31st 10am-1pm
Elevate Intensive 2 (ages 7-9 and Petite) July 27th – 31st 10am-1pm
Elevate Intensive 3 (ages 10-12 and Junior) August 10th – 14th 10am-3pm
Elevate Intensive 4 (ages 12-18 and Teen/Elite) August 10th – 14th 10am-3pm *this intensive will include college dance team prep and pom!
LIGHTS UP! BROADWAY WEEK (ages 7-16) July 20-25th 10am-3pm
MIni Magic Dance Week (ages 3-6) July 20-25th 10am-1pm **We would love more friends in this camp!*

June 22nd 5-7:30pm Ages 10-12 $40 per dancer
June 23rd 5-7:30pm Ages 13+ $40 per dancer
Also look out for more one-day workshops and intensives throughout the summer for those with busy schedules that cannot make summertime commitments! Private Lessons are also offered by request. Ask Miss Becky for details!

SDA’s popular competitive performance team will be holding auditions for new members to fill our teams! Our Mini Team is our youngest team and is for dancers ages 4-6 years old. If you have a dancer this age please email me to let me know you are interested in hearing about our competition team! Teachers will also be sending me suggestions of dancers this age that show potential to be on team and you will receive an invitation to audition! The rest of our current teams will have only a few spots each and we will fill those by audition only. We have teams for dancers ages 4-18! Please email Miss Becky if you and your dancer/s are interested in joining one of our teams! Audition times are listed below. Please contact Miss Becky for any questions and details!

*For placement on any Teen or Elite Team, you must attend both the Jazz/Lyrical/Contemporary audition and the Technique/Ballet audition. If you plan to take a team Tap or Hip Hop class at the Teen or Elite level, you must also attend those auditions.
**Current Diamond Dancers must attend their current team’s audition in addition to the team they are auditioning for so we can best place everyone within Novice, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Select etc levels.
2026-2027 Season
The 2024-25 Dance Season is just around the corner! My apologies for the delay, our new schedule will be posted this month! Classes max out at 15 students so keep an eye on your email and social media getting ready for Registration day!
Spotlight On:
Avery Ouellette Age 10
This is Avery’s fourth year dancing at SDA and is currently taking Hip-Hop 2 With Miss Allie and Acro 2 with Miss Emma. Avery is always a joy to have in class with and picks up choreography quickly. She also is a great leader amongst her classmates and is a team player. She will be performing in our upcoming spring recitals on Friday and Sunday in June, and we cannot wait to see her shine!

Again, this year, we’re working with a company called TutuTix to make it easier for you to get tickets to “Dance The Magic”.
Tickets are $30 each. Anyone that needs a seat needs a ticket! Tickets for all 3 shows are currently on sale. Please make sure you know which show you are buying tickets to since tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE.
