Sarah began dancing at 5 and quickly fell in love! She started competing with her studio’s competition team and won many top awards in group and solo performances. She won “Miss Dance Xplosion” and was invited to dance in Germany for the World of Dance Championships. Sarah also danced with the Ballet Theatre of Boston for many years training with many of their principle dancers and performed in their Nutcracker performance for five years. Sarah is a graduate of the Dance teachers club of Bostons where she was the recipient of the Audree Wilson scholarship for excellence in dance.

Sarah began teaching in high school and was trained in many different styles and ages. Some of her students have won top awards at various regional competitions. Sarah most recently became certified in Rhythm Works which is a program that promotes dance and its benefits for cognitive, motor and social/emotional development. This program is specifically designed for children with disabilities. As Sarah currently also works as an elementary school social worker, this has become helpful in both roles!

Sarah is thrilled to be joining the SDA faculty this year and helping the students grow their love for dance!
